The results of the Russian student contest “Talent Pool for the Foreign Trade Activity”

On December 8, 2016, the results of the Russian student contest “Talent Pool for the Foreign Trade Activity” were announced in Russian Customs Academy. The contest was organized jointly by the Faculty of Customs, the nonprofit partnership association “Promotion of the Foreign Economic Activity” and Corporate Online University.
 
The contest was held among the students from the 3 – 5 courses of the “Customs” education program to promote interest in better mastering of competencies related to customs declaring and to seek talents for the potential employers.
 
The expert commission was composed from the Academy professors and lecturers and the representatives of the Corporate Online University, who noted the high level of students’ skills and knowledge.
 
The event was attended by the:

  • Aleksandr Myakota – General Director;

 

Russian Customs Academy:

 

  • Igor Sergeev – Dean of the Faculty of Customs; Ph.D. in Economics;
  • Elizaveta Kostik – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Customs; Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor;
  • Olga Sokolnikova – Head of the Chair of Customs Payments and Currency Control; Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor;
  • Elena Krasilnikova – Head of the Chair of Commodity Research and Customs Expertise; Ph.D. in Engineering; Associate Professor.

 

 

In his welcoming speech Igor Sergeev noted the significance of establishing the interaction between the Faculty of Customs and organizations, participating in the foreign trade activity. He highlighted that close cooperation will improve training of the specialists and create a well prepared personnel reserve. The Dean stated that the Faculty is ready for such collaboration and will do everything possible to support and develop it.

 

Vladimir Bondarev congratulated the contest participants with the end of the contest and indicated its importance for the Academy students and employers operating in the customs sphere, he expressed his willingness to further assist the education process of the customs specialists according to the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Aleksandr Myakota delivered an online presentation “Competences, required for the foreign trade activity” and congratulated all participants and winners. 
 
Olga Oganesova shared the experience of cooperation among the Association members in promoting the ideas in the sphere of customs, told about the assistance in solving the issues of foreign trade development and noted that it is necessary to annually hold the Russian student contest “Talent Pool for the Foreign Trade Activity” at the Academy.

The event was concluded with awarding the winners with cups, presented by Vladimir Bondarev, the Director of the nonprofit partnership association “Promotion of the Foreign Economic Activity” and Olga Oganesova, the graduate of Russian Customs Academy.

 

The prizes were distributed in the following order:

 

The 1st place – Anastasia Piskunova, the 4th year student; 

The 2nd place – Yana Richkova, the 4th year student; 

The 3rd place – Ekaterina Stepanova, the 4th year student.

The administration of the Faculty of Customs, Chairs and students expressed a great interest in holding the contest annually at the Academy.
